In Oomiya, there is a place called “Bonsai village”. In Edo period, the Edo metropolis suffered from a conflagration and a lot of Bonsai artisans gave themselves a blast to Oomiya and put down roots on Oomiya.
Kawaguchi Angyo has also great gardens of Bonsai. Almost the same reason as Oomiya, Angyo acquired the art of Bonsai when Edo had a big fire.
